Built by Budd in 1950 for use on the Union Pacific’s “City” series of trains that served Chicago and points west, the Pacific Union is a classic but versatile 10-6 sleeper.  Its 10 roomettes each feature a private folding sink, and four roomettes have their own toilet facilities.  The six double-bedrooms each feature a private toilet annex and sink, and the walls between the bedrooms are folding, allowing the rooms to serve en suite.

The Pacific Union was extensively rebuilt in 1996 and now features a full stainless shower and buffet area, making it a classic yet modern, versatile, and capable sleeping car.
