The Hagerstown Inn was built by Budd in 1949 as part of the Pennsylvania Railroad’s “Inn” series – a group of 21-roomette high-capacity sleepers.  Rebuilt as a coach in the mid-1970s by Amtrak, the Hagerstown Inn became a parlor car in 1994 as part of Maryland Area Rail Commuters’ parlor car service.

Painted and lettered in its original Pennsylvania scheme, the Hagerstown Inn features individual swiveling reclining chairs with folding tables and sliding doors for ADA accessibility.
